WARRANTY POLICY

1. Buildskill products come with varying warranty periods depending on the category. Most products carry a 6-month warranty, while certain categories have a 1-month warranty for manufacturing defects. Please note, there is no warranty on spare parts. Below are the warranty periods based on product categories:

Specific to Shelf Bracket and Door Closer -If  breaks or fails to support load within rated capacity due to defect. -Faulty screws, bolts, pins supplied with the bracket if they fail under normal use. -Peeling/rusting right after purchase due to poor coating.	For Waste Pipe -Normal aging, material fatigue, hardening/softening, loosening of joints, or minor surface wear occurring over time due to regular use. - Blockages, clogs, or internal restrictions caused by external debris, lint, waste materials, or foreign objects. - Cuts, kinks, twists, tears, holes, bends, deformation, or breakage resulting from external force, excessive weight, or mechanical stress beyond specified limits. For Shelf Bracket and Door Closer -Damage arising from improper installation, incorrect fitting, wrong alignment, unsuitable mounting surfaces, or use of non-recommended hardware, screws, anchors, or accessories. -Damage caused by exceeding load ratings, pressure limits, or operational specifications (including pressure surges, backflow, or forced movement beyond design limits). -Impact-related damage such as dents, cracks, bending, or structural failure due to drops, collisions, mishandling, or misuse. -Environmental damage including rust, corrosion, moisture exposure, humidity, coastal conditions, sunlight/UV exposure, heat, chemicals, pests, or rodents. -Alterations, reshaping, modification of brackets/components, or changes made by the user after purchase. -Damage resulting from rough handling, forceful pulling/pushing, improper routing, forced folding/unfolding, or general misuse.

Packing Material	Corrugated Boxes	1 Month	– Defects in the corrugation formation or board manufacture that cause structural failure right from the factory (e.g., poorly bonded flutes, delamination present on delivery). – Issues due to improper raw materials (e.g., weak board strength, incorrect paper grade that fails within expected specifications). - Mismatch in specific grade/thickness/size mentioned in catalogue and received the wrong product - Adhesive failure or moisture damage occurred before delivery	– Corrugated board is a consumable item; normal aging, slight flattening, or handling wear are not defects. – Tears, crushing, dents, stains, moisture damage, or structural failure caused after you received the roll are not covered under warranty. – Corrugated must be stored flat/dry; damage from improper storage (humidity, rain, excessive stacking) is excluded. – If the corrugated is used in ways beyond its intended application or weight rating, resulting damage isn’t covered. – Errors during unwinding, cutting, or conversion into boxes/liners that cause defects aren’t covered. – Exposure to heat, moisture, sunlight, pests/rodents, or chemicals after delivery is not the supplier’s responsibility. – Minor shade variations, print mismatch, or non-critical surface defects that don’t affect board performance – Any glue, tape, stickers added by you are outside warranty. – Boards used for packaging will naturally compress and wear — not considered a defect.

	Paint Sprayer	6 Months	- Faults due to poor manufacturing or assembly that cause malfunction under normal use are covered. - The main motor or electric drive unit is generally covered against defects in materials and workmanship - Major mechanical drive/pump components (sometimes called the drive train) are covered if they fail due to manufacturing defects. - Plastic housing parts that crack or break due to material/manufacturing defects are covered. - Power switches, trigger assemblies, and other control components are covered if they fail due to workmanship defects. - Internal shafts, pistons, or gears that fail prematurely because of defective materials or assembly. - Original seals or gaskets that leak or fail due to manufacturing issues are typically covered.	- No cover for normal wear from use — including items like pump wear parts, valves, spray tips, needle assemblies, filters, hoses, and general abrasion over time. - Damage caused by using the sprayer outside its intended application, abuse, or misapplication is not covered - Problems caused by incorrect setup, poor maintenance (e.g., not cleaning after use), or inadequate care. - Damage due to accidents, mishandling, dropping, or tampering/unauthorized repairs - Damage from moisture, rust, extreme temperature exposure, or corrosion not due to a manufacturing defect. - Failures caused by use with non‑Buildskill accessories, repair parts, or materials not supplied by Buildskill.
Power Tools	Angle Grinder	6 Months	- The tool becomes defective due to faulty materials and/or workmanship - The core internal components, if defective due to poor workmanship or material. - Connectors, wiring, switches or controls that fail because of a manufacturing fault. - Cracks or failures in the body caused by defective molding/material, not from impact or misuse. - Other internal mechanisms that malfunction solely as a result of material or manufacturing defects. Specific for Cordless: - Internal wiring, PCB, cells, switches, control modules that fail because of a material or workmanship defect.	-Parts that wear out over time from regular use (e.g., carbon brushes, bearings, o-rings, seals, plastic gears, trigger mechanism, belts, cord flex fatigue, chains, bars, sanding disc, blades, etc.) are not covered. -Damage caused by incorrect operation, heavy misuse (e.g., forcing the tool beyond rated application), or using it for unintended tasks is excluded. -Breaks, dents, cracked housing from drops or impacts are not covered. -Damage from moisture, liquid ingress, chemicals, rust, or extreme conditions is excluded. -Warranty is void if it has been opened, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Buildskill or an authorized service center. -Damage caused by non-original Buildskill parts or unsuitable attachments/accessories isn’t covered including Non-Buildskill batteries and chargers. -Items like drill bits, carrying cases, nozzles, sds bits, or add-ons that are not integral to the product's function, even if provided within the box -Damage from improper electrical supply (voltage spikes, incorrect connection) is not covered. -Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the tool’s performance are generally not considered defects. -Damage from nails, debris, or other external objects entering the tool during use. -Lack of regular maintenance (especially for hammers) or use of incorrect grease or oil.

Ladder	Step Iron	5 Years	- The ladder’s structural components (rails, rungs, feet) that fail due to inferior metal/parts or faulty materials. - Faults from poor manufacturing or assembly (e.g., badly aligned parts, poor welds) that cause failure under normal use.	- Gradual wear from normal ladder use (scratches, rung dullness, minor finish wear) is not a defect. - Damage caused by misuse or abuse — for example: • Overloading beyond rated capacity • Using the ladder for unintended purposes • Rough handling or incorrect climbing positions - Any damage due to failure to comply with the written warnings and instructions (e.g., setup, load limits). - Damage from dropping, impacts, collisions, or mishandling after purchase.

Home	Sensor Dustbin	12 Months	- Parts that fail because of inferior or faulty materials used in construction (e.g., plastic chassis, sensor housing, motor parts that crack or deform under normal conditions) - Faults caused by poor assembly or manufacturing errors (e.g., misaligned lid, defective wiring, poor soldering that leads to failure) - If the dustbin stops responding to the sensor, won’t open/close as intended, or loses power despite normal use and proper setup, and the issue arises from a defect. - Failures of internal electronics such as the motion sensor board, motor, control unit, or power circuitry due to manufacturing faults.	- Wear from regular use, such as worn lid hinges, scratch marks, faded surfaces, or worn seals. - Damage from using the dustbin for other purposes (e.g., standing/sitting on it, intentionally forcing lid open/closed, excessive weights placed inside). - Breakage, dents, cracks from dropping, impacts, collisions, or mishandling - Issues caused by incorrect setup or assembly that aren’t manufacturing defects. - Water/moisture damage (e.g., raining on indoor product), corrosion, rust, chemical exposure, extreme heat/cold. - Warranty is void if the unit was disassembled, modified, altered, or repaired by someone other than an authorized service provider. - Scratches, dents, or surface blemishes that don’t affect performance.
Material Handling	Home Trolley	6 Months	-Structural failure of core components such as the frame, platform plate, handles, cross-bars, or joints due to poor-quality metal, weak raw materials, or factory defects (not caused by overload or misuse). -Fabrication or assembly defects, including: improper or weak welding, misaligned folding joints or handles, loose or uneven handle mechanisms, incorrectly mounted wheels, defective locking clamps, fold/unfold latches, or telescopic handle systems - Functional failure of the trolley when used as intended and within its rated load capacity, such as: frame collapse under normal rated use, snapped handle due to material weakness, wheel failure or seizure caused by internal manufacturing defects	-Normal wear and cosmetic deterioration, including surface scratches, paint fading, coating wear, soft-grip shrinkage, minor loosening of parts over time, wheel tread abrasion, bearing wear, or other components expected to wear with regular use. - Overloading or misuse, such as carrying loads beyond the trolley’s rated capacity, forcing it beyond design limits, or using it for unintended purposes (e.g., as a step ladder). - Impact or accident damage, including bends, dents, frame twisting, deformation, or breakage caused by dropping, collisions, stepping on the trolley, or similar mishandling. -Improper assembly or unauthorized repairs/modifications, including damage arising from incorrect user assembly, alterations, or repairs carried out by unauthorized persons. -Environmental damage, such as rust, corrosion, or material degradation caused by exposure to rain, seawater, chemicals, solvents, acids, extreme temperatures, fire, flood, earthquake, theft, vandalism, or other external events. -Non-approved parts or accessories, including failures resulting from wheels, handles, bearings, or other components not supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
	Platform Trolley
Storage	Shelf Racks	1 month	- The rack and its steel structural components are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship — meaning failures due to faulty steel, welding, or production faults are covered. - If the shelves, uprights, beams or connectors fail to perform as intended because of manufacturing issues during the valid warranty period	- Any wear due to regular use or environmental exposure, such as surface scratches, fading paint, corrosion from humidity, or rust development, is not considered a defect - Damage or failures caused by incorrect assembly, installation errors, or failure to follow the rack’s instructions are excluded — proper installation must be followed. - Damage due to misuse, abuse, rough handling, overloading beyond the recommended capacity, accidents, or improper storage is not covered. - Warranty is void if the rack has been modified, altered, or repaired by anyone other than Buildskill or an authorized agent - Failures caused by accessories not originating from Buildskill (e.g., non‑Buildskill shelving boards, improper add‑ons) or incompatible parts are excluded. - Damage due to environmental factors, natural disasters, acts of God, neglect, or conditions beyond Buildskill’s control are not covered - The warranty cannot be transferred to another person if you resell or give the rack to someone else - Does not cover consequential or incidental losses — e.g., damage to property caused by rack failure.

 

2. For any issues or warranty claims, customers must contact our Customer Satisfaction team via WhatsApp or email.
3. Once the defect is verified by our Customer Satisfaction team, further instructions will be provided to the customer via them.
4. All defective products must be shipped to our service centre. The cost of shipping the product to us is borne by the customer, while we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired product back to the customer.
5. If the product has been self-repaired or tampered with (such as screws being removed), it will no longer be eligible for warranty coverage.
6. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the product is safely delivered to our service centre.
7. The defective product will either be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the company.
8. Product Abuse: If the product is used improperly (abusive use), the warranty will be void. Buildskill will offer repair services only twice in such cases. After two repairs, customers will be required to pay for any parts even under the warranty period, and the product will be classified as under abusive use.
9. Warranty is applicable only to the first party.
